Established in 1995, Gary and Janet Tyrrell saw the need for a Locksmithing service for Gawler and the wider community. Gary began his apprenticeship in 1981 and has never left the industry. In the years since 1995 he has trained 3 x apprentices through to full qualification and since 2003 has been the president of the ANZLA, (Australian and New Zealand Locksmiths Association).
Janet, with extensive prior experience as an office manager, continues to exercise that knowledge, along with stock control, job allocation and OHS/WHS compliances amongst other tasks. Having been married to Gary since 1987, Janet is practically a Locksmith in her own right!
Ryan, Gary and Janet’s son, has recently completed his apprenticeship with Gawler Lock and Key Service. He is up to date with modern technology, particularly in the automotive field and hardware specification. A keen and capable young man worthy of the title of Tradesman.
Gawler Lock and Key Service has an extensive workshop and well-appointed showroom in the heart of Gawler and ample parking shared with the Veterinary clinic next door. So if your car, caravan, motorcycle or trailer locks need attention, parking is on the doorstep.
With 3 x distinctive, fully equipped vehicles operating we are not limited to where we will go. Looking after the security needs of schools, councils, wineries, hotels, homes and hospitals etc, takes us far and wide. From the northern suburbs, Gawler and districts, to the Barossa and Clare Valleys and the mid-north.
